CHAMELEON

[FALSE FRIEND]

Friendship bond, we knot

In one mind, we cloth

Love shared, not bought

But this long string, you cut

With self-mind, you sought

A mind full of lust

Now, what is the worth?

Open minded door, you shut

Leaving lose end to hurt

This picture you plot

From own self-thought

From within, set the rot.

With grinning mouth, you cheer

With piercing tongue, you tear

Before worried eyes clear

You had blended with the ware

Enormous colours you share

Hiding your real wear

Friendship made mere

This arose my fears

Much more for me to bear

Chameleon! Dare not near

For today, I forbid this peer.

The Thing about Quotes

Can a quote inspire you? We have found inspirational quotes can change our thinking. Quotes can inspire you, they can remind you of your goals, and they can be a positive influence to your day.

You don't need to keep a book of quotes, you only need to find that one quote that is appropriate for your situation. That one quote that will inspire you or remind you to live life to the fullest.

An example of two quotes that did just that for me:

1. For many years I kept the following quote on my desk: "What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it."

That quote would remind me not to spend my day thinking negative thoughts or waste my time or energy in complaining or wishing to be somewhere else. It reminded me to enjoy my day, to be all that I could be as once the day was over I would never have it back.

2. Currently I am working on a project that requires a lot of time and patience. Some days I feel frustrated with my progress. I feel like I will never finish. So I the following quote gives me inspiration while working on my current project: "persistence prevails when all else fails"

When I find myself frustrated I look up and read that quote. It inspires me to continue. It reminds me of the story doing a little bit over time does pay off.

So find that quote that inspires you, keep it in a place where you can see it, and live each day to the fullest!
