Fan the Glowing Embers

This is a message to self.

I started this blog in 2008 just to express my thought about personal experiences and life in general. I figured I could express them in poetry. I started writing poetry just by reading poetry books and other people’s write-up. Of course I knew my write ups were amateur but who cares.

I developed interest in Marketing Communications, Modern Technology & Social Media. I developed interest in Fast and Luxury Cars, learning about vehicle features, parts and performances….And the weirdest one, I became interested in Osphresiology; yeah, the study of odor and sense of smell. Funny right? This interest grew when I became curious about the content and ingredients of my perfumes, different perfume  ‘notes’ and ‘sillage’ etc. and then the smell of everything else. It has been a wonderful experience though I’m still learning.

Now What?

I never invested time in developing any of these interests. You know what happens when you have a 9-5 job; oh I mean 8-10 job. It is demanding, concentration based, time consuming, energy zapping. You are constantly in a battle for stability and progress and daily struggle with the demon himself. Yes – The Spirit of Lagos. That’s the demon. This was the battle that left this blog silent and lifeless like a ghost town. Now the silence is so loud and almost deafening. I need to act now!
The daily struggle is still on nonetheless but there is a breath of fresh air at the moment. Just like gulping down a bottle of water after a 20mile marathon. It’s time to re-visit an old passion; time to fan the glowing embers.

One Step at A time

I am re-defining this blog to focus on Innovative Ideas, Technology and Social Media. I will be sharing my thoughts on these subjects and other people’s write-ups I stumble on. Please be free to share your opinions and we can all learn new stuffs.

Here is my favorite quote and a form of reminder to myself. I re-defined it my way so I can take credit for it.

“If you can fan the glowing embers in you long enough, it will bring out a blazing fire”. – Seye Ayannuga.
